Rachel Walther is originally from Arizona. She received her degree in photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. She has worked for the Whitney Museum of Art, Amoeba Music, Facets Multimedia, the Music Box Theater and Films, the Chicago History Museum, and Missing Links Press. Her photos and articles have been published by Vogue Italia, NPR, SFMOMA, Penguin Random House, Hamam magazine, California College of the Arts, the Film Noir Foundation, UC Press, and the San Francisco Weekly. She has been an artist-in-residence at Proyecto 'Ace in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Kala Art Institute in Berkeley.
